Inauguration of the 7th National Reverse Subcontracting Fair "Sanist 2025" in Algiers

On Monday, the 7th edition of the National Reverse Subcontracting Fair, known as "Sanist 2025," formally opened its doors at the Pins Maritimes Exhibition Palace in Algiers. The event showcases 70 exhibitors, including national companies, institutions, and start-ups, all eager to foster collaboration and growth within the Algerian industrial sector.

The inauguration was attended by significant figures, including Ahmed Mokrani, the Director General for Economic Control and Fraud Repression from the Ministry of Commerce and Market Regulation, and Chakib-Smail Kouidri, the Director General of the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI). This fair is organized by the CACI, in partnership with the Algerian Company of Fairs and Exports (Safex), and will run until April 24.

Objective and Importance of the Fair

The primary goal of "Sanist 2025" is to enhance cooperation between large national companies and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by emphasizing the importance of subcontracting. The fair promotes the local manufacturing of components, semi-finished products, and replacement parts, which is vital for increasing local content and reducing dependency on foreign imports.

This initiative is aligned with Algeria’s national strategy, which aims to integrate local products into a variety of industrial sectors. The fair features multiple sectors, including mechanics, metallic construction, electronics, mining, petrochemical industries, metallurgy, cement production, brick-making, public works, transportation, ship repair, and other manufacturing industries.

Activities and Knowledge Sharing

In addition to commercial exchanges, the fair also offers a series of conferences that cover topics such as the development strategy for subcontracting in Algeria, digitalization and open innovation, the role of financial institutions in supporting subcontracting, and the mechanisms for financing SMEs through the stock market. This knowledge-sharing aspect is crucial for empowering SMEs and equipping them with the necessary tools for growth and adaptation in a competitive market environment.

Through these discussions and exchanges, participants can gain insights into best practices, emerging trends in industry, and innovative solutions that can be implemented across various sectors. The emphasis on digitalization and open innovation reflects the modern approach to industry challenges, encouraging attendees to embrace new technologies and collaborative approaches for sustained growth.

Conclusion

"Sanist 2025" serves as an important platform for encouraging the integration of local businesses within Algeria’s industrial framework. By providing an opportunity for collaboration and knowledge sharing among exhibitors and attendees, the fair aims to stimulate economic development, promote regional growth, and ultimately strengthen the overall economy of Algeria. This event not only highlights the capabilities of local industries but also reinforces the necessity for ongoing dialogue and partnership among all stakeholders involved in the process of national economic development.

In summary, the fair stands as a testament to Algeria’s commitment to fostering a resilient, innovative, and self-sufficient industrial sector that can compete on a global scale while prioritizing local resources and talent.
