Arnaud Mimran, an ex-« golden boy » turned carbon tax fraudster, is set to stand trial in Paris for two murders, complicity in an assassination, and attempted murder related to his associates between 2010 and 2014. Investigations revealed his involvement in the 2010 murder of Samy Souied, and he is accused of aiding in the assassination of his former father-in-law, billionaire Claude Dray, in 2011. Mimran is thought to have strong financial and personal motivations behind these crimes. A psychiatric assessment portrays him as egocentric and power-driven. His criminal history includes significant fraud and intimidation cases, and he has been imprisoned since 2016.
