l’action caritative durant le Ramadhan reflète les plus belles images de cohésion sociale

In the wilaya of Saïda, charitable actions led by associations, religious institutions, and volunteers during the holy month of Ramadhan highlight a strong spirit of solidarity towards the underprivileged and travelers passing through the area. These volunteers mobilize to carry out various initiatives aimed at supporting disadvantaged individuals and the elderly within the region.

The solidarity efforts of local associations intensify during Ramadhan, as they engage in the preparation and distribution of hot meals and food parcels for families in need and travelers. The local committee of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) has established five iftar restaurants across several municipalities, including Aïn El Hadjar, Sidi Boubekeur, Youb, and two in Saïda, to provide meals to those facing difficulties. According to Hadj Omar, the president of the local CRA committee, approximately 200 people benefit from this initiative every day, with the committee delivering an additional 50 meals daily to the homes of elderly or sick individuals unable to travel.

In addition to the CRA, many other associations and civil society actors also partake in these charitable endeavors. For example, the « Kafil El Yatim » association dedicates itself annually to bringing joy to orphans by providing them with food parcels and Eid clothing. Other organizations, including the Sidi Blal zaouïa, the Scouts Musulmans Algériens (SMA), and the youth volunteer group « Ness El-Kheir », implement programs that cater to the needs of vulnerable groups during this holy month.

Young volunteers from « Ness El Kheir » have opened a restaurant that serves daily meals to around 50 individuals, further promoting the values of solidarity within the community. Numerous benefactors from Saïda also contribute to these charitable actions, reflecting a collective commitment to support the less fortunate.

Mosques are also vital centers for these solidarity initiatives. The Directorate of Religious Affairs and Wakfs has launched a widespread donation campaign in various mosques across the wilaya, collecting food supplies destined for those in need. Many benefactors have committed themselves to these charitable efforts through mosque initiatives, ensuring that people can observe the fast under favorable conditions.

The El-Qods mosque in Saïda stands as an exemplary model of charitable action, having organized benevolent activities during Ramadhan for several years. This mosque collects food products and Eid clothing for orphans, maintaining its tradition of generosity and solidarity through the contributions of benefactors dedicated to meeting the needs of vulnerable families and orphans.

These collective efforts during Ramadhan not only provide immediate relief but also reinforce community bonds and the importance of social responsibility. Whether through meal distribution, provision of clothing, or fundraising via mosques, the actions taken exemplify a commitment to nurturing a caring society where the welfare of every individual is prioritized.

The spirit of giving during this sacred month serves as a reminder of the core values of compassion and support that underpin the community of Saïda.
